Who is Bump Diamond?
He's elusive, everyone knows that much. And we found one of his Vons lists recently. It had rice noodles, pad thai sauce, miso soup, bagged salad and Mammoth Brewing Co.'s Double Nut Brown.

Lazy Days In Mammoth

September 8, 2005

By Bump Diamond
Man About Town

Boy, things sure are quiet around town today, and it looks as if it's going to be quiet for a while.
Even with up to 900 road cyclists coming to town for Saturday's High Sierra Fall Century bike ride, the town's tourism and recreation department said Mammoth will be less than 50 percent full for the weekend and less than 35 percent full for the following week.
What's more, most of those cyclists get up here on Friday, they pedal all day Saturday, snooze Saturday night and get out of town on Sunday. It's like they're not even here.
Anyway, Laurie Medove, as usual, has the facts and figures, so away we go:

  Friday night 9/9/05 - Saturday night 9/10/05 = 49%
  Sunday night 9/11/05 - Thursday night 9/15/05 - 34%
