Subdudes to Headline Millpond
June 7, 2005

Man About Town
It’s barely summer and we’re already talking about the fall, but that’s OK if the fall includes the Millpond Music Festival in Bishop.
The subdudes, the Colorado-based country rock band that has been a staple of the U.S. summer tour schedule, will headline this year’s festival Sept. 16-18.
The ‘dudes, who say they are going to release a new album next January if everything goes just right, will take the Main Stage on Sunday, Sept. 18 following David Jacobs Strain with Joe Craven.
Their act will put an exclamation mark on a busy weekend that begins on Friday, Sept. 16, with Paul Stone, Fiddlin’ Pete and Friends, the Mark Atkinson Trio and Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca.
The Saturday show will open with Ciúnas, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, Mike Marshall and Choro Famoso, the Bills, Loinda Tellery and the Cultural Heritage Choir and the Saturday headliner, Elvin Bishop.
Sunday’s show will begin with Stan Summers, then Sage Romero, Mamadou Diabate and Walter Strauss, The Biscuit Burners, Phil Salazar and Acadiana, David Jacobs Strain with Joe Craven, and, finally, the subdudes.
Ticket information, camping information and etc. etc. is on the festival’s Web site at www.inyo.org/millpond so go there or be square, you know?
