Who is Bump Diamond?
He's elusive, everyone knows that much. And we found one of his Vons lists recently. It had rice noodles, pad thai sauce, miso soup, bagged salad and Mammoth Brewing Co.'s Double Nut Brown.

McCartney in Mammoth

April 20, 2005

By Bump Diamond
Man About Town

Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was Paul McCartney in Mammoth.
The former Beatle, now 62, showed up at Whiskey Creek on Tuesday, April 10. The word around town is that he jammed, had a hilarious time playing and so on, but none o' that is true.
The fact is, he showed up at Whiskey Creek with pals and and an entourage. Everyone ate. Everyone left.
"He likes to be pampered," said one of the Whiskey Creekers.
McCartney loves the mountains. He has some property up in Sun Valley, Ida., and likes to invite people up there, particularly in the summer, for some hiking.
Two winters ago, he did jam at a joint up in Truckee. That's Lake Tahoe, if yez didn't already know.
