It felt like Greta Boyer Night at the regular meeting of the Town Council on Wednesday, Dec. 6 as a packed house said adieu to Mammoth's "Den Mother," who retires later this month.
Boyer, the administrative assistant to the community development director, received thanks and kudos from the entire council, Town Manager Rob Clark and a host of the town's staff, who also honored the 15th anniversary of popular Visitors Bureau Manager Shannon Freeman.
Boyer, however, stole the show, breaking down into tears on several occassions, between insider jokes from the podium.
Boyer, who joined the town staff in 1989, was in fine form, graciously thanking the town staff and promising that recent hires have left her office in good shape.
