The popular free Town Trolley, a success in the summer months, will offer visitors night service between 6 p.m.-1 a.m., beginning Friday, Nov. 16, a town spokesman announced.
Stuart Brown, the community relations manager, said the route will be the same as in the summer, running from The Village at Mammoth to Snowcreek Athletic Club. He said it will operate seven days a week, with stops every 15 minutes.
In addition, Brown announced that there will be an expansion of trolley service to Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center in the Lakes Basin three times a day from the Village.
Combined with the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area's Red Line service, the free public transit will begin at 7 a.m. and run to 1 a.m., serving the Village, Main Street and Old Mammoth Road. During the daytime, the Red Line serves Mammoth Mountain's Main Lodge.
Also, the Purple Line (Winter LIFT) will operate from The Village at Mammoth to Main Street, Sierra Park Road and mid-Mammoth, seven days a week with stops every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
