Mammoth Mountain Ski Area has established memorial funds for the three ski patrollers who lost their lives in an accident on Thursday, April 6.
Three individual funds have been established at Union Bank of Mammoth Lakes in each of the victims' names; The Scott McAndrews Fund, The Walter Rosenthal Fund, and The James Juarez Fund.
Persons wishing to donate to any of the funds may send a check addressed to the fund of your choice to Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol, Director, Bobby Hoyt, P.O. Box 24, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.
Contributions may also be delivered directly to Union Bank, or mailed to Union Bank, P.O. Box 2729, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.

My sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. James - I will miss your aloha spirit. You were one of the first genuinely nice people I met when I moved to MB. Thank you so much for that.

Walter was one of my best friends and climbing partners in Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada in the 70s and 80s. I and many others will sorely miss him. I'm glad you have info about the memorial funds.
