It's Gonna Get C-c-cold

After nearly a week of warm, Indian summer weather, temperatures will drop and light snow will drop on Mammoth during the start of Thanksgiving week, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures that will rise to near 53 by 1 p.m. on Sunday will drop off the table, falling to around 40 during the remainder of the day. West winds between 5 and 15 miles an hour will kick up, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

On Sunday night, forecasters said skies will turn partly cloudy, with a low around 33, with southwest winds between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Forecasters said there is 20 percent chance of snow after 10 a.m. on Monday. After that, skies will turn partly cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 39 by 11 a.m., then falling to around 28 during the remainder of the day. Winds will gust as high as 40 mph, they said.

The forecast for the remainder of the week is as follows:

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 34. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23. Northeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 35. East wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Thanksgiving Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 21.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 37.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 39.
