Lakanuki is another Mammoth anomaly, bringing an island-flavor, big city style bar to the High Sierra. Despite its lack of laid-back mountain flavor, Lakanuki has proved a hit for local and visiting partiers alike, including occasional visits from pop-star Justin Timberlake. Après ski highlights include hand-cut sushi rolls, super nachos and a huge bar. Like other Village establishments, the food has received mixed reviews while the prices remain high. The food should by no means be a draw, but check out Lakanuki for its convenient location and the wildest party in town.
