Under new direction from post-Katrina, New Orleans transplant Elias McLaughlin, The Mountainside Grill is the place to go for top-notch dining at Mammoth Mountain. McLaughlin comes from a deep restaurateur background in New Orleans’ French Quarter and will no doubt bring a new flair to the popular eatery. Due to its location across from Main Lodge, the Mountainside Grill is meant to accommodate the Inn’s guests, but is a great up-scale meal no matter where you plan on spending the night. For starters, try the Artichoke Hearts Tempura or Salmon Caesar Salad. Next, move onto the Rack of Lamb or Fettuccine del Mar. To close it out try the Mammoth Mud Pie, which is worth its weight in gold. There is also a good size wine list and full bar, making the Mountainside Grill a good choice after a long day on the hill.
