Mammoth Brewing Company came up big at the prestigious 2007 California State Fair Commercial Craft Brewers Competition, winning numerous top awards in a very crowded field.

"Huge congratulations to Jason Senior, our head brewer here at Mammoth Brewing Company, for these award," said Sean Turner, the CEO of Mammoth Brewing Co.

"These are tremendous awards in a highly competitive field. California has some of the best microbreweries in the country, and we are proud to be ranked amount the best in the state."

Out of a total of only six Best of Show awards presented, MBC won two of them for its Hefeweizen and its Olde Charleywine, both of which won Gold Medals in their respective categories.

Mammoth Brewing's Amber Ale also won third place in the Amber Hybrid category, which is a true German Alt style category.

Currently, MBC's Hefeweizen is available on tap only throughout the Eastern Sierra, while the Charleywine is only currently available at Whiskey Creek restaurant and Clocktower Cellar, both in Mammoth .

Turner said the company is scrambling to get the winners into bottle.

"Our goal is to begin bottling both beers into 22oz. bottles before the end of the summer," he said. "The Hefeweizen and Charleywine will also be served at The Village Local's Night on June 19, the Side Door's "Surf's Up" Beer Stroll on June 21 and several other events, including Bluesapalooza."
