Kendra Knight has been selected as a contract curator for the Mammoth Ski Museum, according to Ruth Harrell, the development director of the Mammoth Lakes Foundation.
"Kendra brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the museum, and we are pleased to have retained her for this project," Harrell said.
Knight holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial photography from Brooks Institute of Photography.
Her background is in gallery management, promotion, lighting techniques, cataloguing and maintaining collections.
"Her challenge for the next few weeks is to display much more of our world famous Beekley Collection in the Main Gallery," Harrell said.
Harrell said Knight will be assisted by Mammoth resident Ann Mokler, who brings an art history background to the project.
"We envision the museum to be an experience that locals and visitors will recommend to their friends and return to often," Harrell said.
