"All the world's a stage," the bard tells us. Sierra Classic Theare invites actors of every ilk to be on stage this summer in an August production of "As You Like It." The community theatre group has set auditions for the show on Saturday June 2 10am-1pm, Monday June 4 and Wednesday June 6 6:30-8pm.
Shakespeare's popular gender-bending comedy (from which that famous quote comes) features love, laughter, song, dance, mistaken identity and even a round of boxing. Director Shira Dubrovner, whose is co-producing the show with SCT at the new Mammoth Lakes Arts Center, needs 14 actors between the ages of 16 and 100. No prior acting experience is necessary. Anyone interested in helping out behind the scenes is also enouraged to attend.
