It's Like A Bowling Alley Up There!

Magic Mountain did it again.

With very little snow at lower elevations and no man-made snow at all up top, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area opened the lifts to the top of the hill on Nov. 12, providing skiers and boarders with an altogether different kind of experience.

"It's like a bowling alley up there!" said one skier, hours after coming down off the hill.

That's not an entirely bad thing, mind you.

Just keep this in mind:

If you have older skis or boards, you might want to use them until there's a leetle more fluff on the ground.
