Mammoth To Skate Park Riders: "Not Yet!"

That was some launch last weekend of the Volcom Brothers Skate Park, but town officials now say it might have been a leetle too successful.
"It's important for users of the park to understand that it is still a
construction zone, which means its not yet open to the public for use,”
said town manager Robert Clark said.
He said the official opening of the park is still about a month away.
“The dedication ceremony date was established with the idea the park
would also be completed by (late September)," Clark said. "However, a few delays prevented
that from happening.”
Since last weekend, dozens of riders have been using the completed eastern bowl of the two-bowl facility while construction crews are working on the west bowl.
Until the park is completed, though, riders have to get past
orange construction fencing.
The town's directive did not suggest riders will be cited for using the park.
Instead, the town sent out a press release today asking the riders "comply with
the signage and remain out of the construction zone until completion."
