Feels Like A Million People Are Here
September 1, 2005

Man About Town
I must be going nutso. The Town says Mammoth is going to be only 67 percent full this coming weekend, but I ain't buyin' it.
Here it is, only Thursday, and Rite Aid was jammed, no one could make a left turn anywhere and Vons, well, Vons.
You're probably wondering what I was doing at the Rite Aid, and I'll tell you: I was picking up full-strength Dramamine for the dog. We are headed outta here, afraid of being trampled by the trout crowd. There is going to be some heavy metal-throwing out in the Lakes Basin this weekend. Anyway, you don't want to travel in a car with this hound unless she's loaded on Dramamine. You don't want to know any more than that.
Anyway, and for what it's worth, here's Laurie Medove's visitation report:
The projected average resort occupancy is as follows:
Friday night 9/02/05 - Sunday night 9/04/05 = 67%
Monday night 9/05/05 - Thursday night 9/08/05 = 31%
