Vons Pharmacy Aisles Take A Hit

    Just got back from Vons to see what's what with the big remodel, and there's a lot, that's what.
    I already covered, in my last post to The Vons Report, the disappearance of the flower area over by the Odwalla juices and the white wines. Now it's the pharmacy aisles that are going through a changeover.
    This time, Vons didn't just stop stocking the shelves, like it did last week in the refrigerated and frozen health food areas. Instead, the remodelers extended the pharmacy aisles into the produce area, meaning you can get your hygiene products and hosiery, as well as your red potatoes, without having to take more than half a dozen steps.
    If that seems like an odd quinella, just wait until they start taking apart the meat section, you know?
    The project is now two weeks into its 10-week makeover, in case you were wondering.
