Hello all, and welcome to the new "Post A Story" feature on MammothLocal.com.
As many of you know, a movement called "citizen journalism," or "community journalism," has taken hold, based largely on the blogging movement.
MammothLocal.com is a sophisticated blog, complete with a set of blog tools that make citizen journalism possible.
This includes an area to post stories and opinions (like this page), plus an area to "comment" on practically every piece of content on the entire Web site, from news stories to restaurant capsules. Just look for the "comment" link at the end of each excerpt or at the end of each story or capsule.
Want to write about the high school football game? Want to write a column about town politics? A performance from the Millpond Festival or who rocked at Lakanuki? Whatever it is, this is your place to do it.
So as the Editor in Chief of MammothLocal.com, I welcome you. It's not like we've run out of things to say in our little mountain town.
